Regina

This beautify is one I got about a year ago and never did anything with, well now that my folks need a bear/ moose protection rifle for in the cabin in Alaska I decided to blow the dust off this girl and really give her an overhaul. As she sits right now Regina is a Winchester Model 70 pre-64, nothing truly amazing other than the fact she is a freaking 378 WEATHERBY! This rifle is an honest to god elephant gun!

Originally she was a 375 H&H (another African big 5 caliber) but the previous owner had it re-chambered into the weatherby caliber and got the muzzle break put on. She needs quite a bit of work to get her up to speed, A new stock is a must, recoil pad and recoil reducing mercury will come along with that stock change when it happens. I gave this rifle a new coating when I first bought it but I am not happy with it so will redo it once I get the parts i desire for her. I need to get the rifle a new rear iron sight and am contemplating a red dot for quick target acquisition but am worried about the high recoil of this round destroying the things.

Will be a work in progress over the next couple months and will have to see how it goes, no list right now as most of the stuff here will be replaced by the time Mod 1 comes along lol
